Board of Directors
Residents within the St.James Ambulance District service area elect the District’s Board of Directors. The Board of Directors is made up of six individuals that are District residents. Each elected Director serves a three-year term, with the terms staggered to ensure two Directors are up for election each year.
The Board holds its meetings at St. James Ambulance District, Station 1, located at 203 N. Louise St., St. James, the 3rd Thursday of every month at 6 p.m. All Board meetings are open to the public.
How do I become a board member ?
To become a board member of the St. James Ambulance District, an individual must meet Missouri eligibility requirements and run for election. Board members are elected by district residents during a nonpartisan local election, typically held in April. Candidates must be registered voters who have lived within the ambulance district for the required period and meet age and residency qualifications. Once elected, board members serve a set term and are responsible for overseeing ambulance district operations, approving budgets, ensuring compliance with state regulations, and representing the interests of the community. In some cases, vacancies may be filled by appointment until the next election.
